Muhammad Hanfi runs Bottleneck Calculator. He builds the calculator, writes the PC performance guides on this site, and reviews them when readers or new information point to a correction.
What Muhammad works on
- The calculator: the CPU and GPU lists, the relative performance and power values, and the supporting checks for RAM, storage, temperature and PSU headroom.
- The guides: practical explanations of CPU and GPU bottlenecks, RAM, stuttering, resolution, upscaling and upgrade planning.
- Corrections: reviewing reader reports, checking them against specifications and independent benchmarks, and updating pages when the evidence supports it.
How the guides are written
Each guide aims to explain what a result means and what it does not mean. Estimates are labelled as estimates, and measurable troubleshooting steps are preferred over unsupported certainty. Hardware specifications and software behaviour change over time, so readers are encouraged to confirm important buying decisions with current reviews and to test the games and applications they actually use. You can read the full approach on the About page.
